Welcome to Reviews & Trips
This is where I document real VW campervan travel — the places we like to stay, the kit we use according to the theme of the campsite, and what actually works when you’re on the road.
It’s not a curated list of “best of” content. It’s based on real trips, real weather, real pitches, and real decisions made while travelling. None of my content is paid by third parties, or places we visit.
Over time, this section will grow into a practical reference library for:

2026 Campsite Reviews
These are based on actual stays and written from my experience, not research or third-party summaries. All the words and thoughts are mine, from my own experience of camping and enjoying my VW Campervan.
Bay View Farm, Croyde – Campsite Review
One of our favourites places in the UK. We have been many, many,times. My review of a North Devon coastal stay near Croyde, including campsite review, facilities, access, and suitability for surfing and coastal trips. Plus what I did, and didn’t do last time round!
Kingsdown Camping, Kent – Campsite Review
A coastal campsite review based on an Easter weekend stay in Kent, covering location, sea views, access, and overall value for stopovers and short breaks. This was our first ever trip there, special because we had our new awning.

We have different gear for different campsites and themed weekends. This can include ‘Express Camping’, ‘Festival Camping’, European travel and wet weather.
Everything has been tested in real conditions over the past 15-years — not just unpacked at home.

Yes. Some campsites, such as those in Croyde, have been visited multiple times over several years.
Do you review campervan equipment?
Yes. This section will gradually include real-world testing of campervan equipment used during our trips. Some of our kit now needs to be replaced due to wear & tear. So we can now review more modern alternatives.
